This sportsperson was arrested in October 2011 at the Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil after he tried to board the plane with eight kg of cocaine. Galabin Boevski was led to Bulgaria. The narcotic was estimated. It could be sold at the price of 500, 000 dollars on the streets in countries of Europe.  
Galabin Boevski is a celebrated athlete in Bulgaria. He is considered to be one of the most celebrated weightlifters in this country.
First he was caught taking steroids in 1995. Undoubtedly, he was sentenced to suspension.
Then this sportsperson was caught using banned preparations in 2004. It was the second time when he violated doping laws. Actually, Boevski didn’t test positive for any steroids. But anti-doping officials defined that he didn’t provide own urine. The urine which was provided by this athlete belonged to another person. As a result, Galabin Boevski was sentenced to 8-year suspension. During serving the suspension he was caught trafficking cocaine.
Boevski became prominent due to his achievements in weightlifting. This sportsperson won gold medals at some competitions: at the 1999 World Weightlifting Championships in Athens, the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and the 2001 World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya.
At the 2003 World Championships in Vancouver Galabin Boevski and his teammates from Bulgaria provided urine samples that belonged to another individual. It was determined by anti-doping officials that the three urine samples were produced by one person. These sportspersons were sentenced to suspensions. Boevski appealed the suspension but it was unsuccessful.
Galabin Boevski broke some world records at various competitions. He held 3 world records. The best lifts of this athlete were following: a 162, 5 kg snatch, 196, 5 kg clean and jerk and a 357, 5 kg of two lifts at the 1999 Championships.
It is strange but this athlete’s reputation wasn’t destroyed in Bulgaria. He used his status of celebrity in sports in order to launch a Technogym fitness center in Sofia. The center was named Atama Wellness and Spa.
Furthermore, the Brazilian judge Maria Isabel do Prado confirmed that Boevski utilized also his status of celebrity in sports in order to smuggle cocaine. She also noticed that this sportsperson utilized the participation of his daughter in a Brazilian tennis tournament to hide his illegal operations related to trafficking of the narcotic.
The weightlifter Galabin Boevski confirmed that he would appeal the conviction.

Federal prosecutors became confused after Andy Pettitte’s testimony at court linked with Roger Clemens

Are steroids responsible for shooting of five police officers?

Police officials raided Cullen Mutrie’s house for a steroid investigation. This ma shot five police officials at his home. One of them, the Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney,  was killed; four police officials were wounded. The next morning Cullen Mutrie and a woman were found dead.
It is suspected that this person was administering anabolic steroids at the time of the shootout. Jane Young, the New Hampshire Associate Attorney General, noticed that toxicology reports were waiting in order to find out whether metabolites of steroids were in the body of Cullen Mutrie.
Police officials reported that Cullen Mutrie had been a very muscular man. This person worked at Genetix Fitness in Seabrook. It was reported that he was 6 feet 3 inches tall. He weighed 275 pounds. During a raid which took place in July 2010 law enforcement officials discovered anabolic steroids at his home. The police official Wayne Young found them in a coffee table. He said that he had noticed a plastic bag with several vials. One vial was with powder; others contained solution. The labels indicated that they were steroids.
The vials were analyzed by the New Hampshire State Crime Lab. It was confirmed that the vials contained such medicines, as Trenbolone Acetate, Sustanon 250, Boldenone Undecylenate and Nandrolone Decanoate.
John Miller, a professor of kinesiology, was asked whether a connection between the deadly actions and aggressiveness due to anabolic steroids could present. The specialist confirmed that it was plausible. But according to him, it is impossible to affirm that there was a direct connection between intake of anabolic steroids and the crime.
John Miller suggested that steroids which were on the black market were provided from legitimate pharmaceutical companies. According to several court documents, the former police officer administered steroids for 4 years. Furthermore, the former police official took 10-15 pain pills under prescriptions in order to relieve pains caused by steroids. But the judge refused to accept such excuse. It seemed at the beginning that he intended to hand down even heavier sentence but then he gave a lighter sentence because he had to follow sentencing guidelines. The judge Spaeth affirmed that Busemeyer had put in danger own safety and safety of other police officials. He jeopardized reputation of the whole police department. It became evident that the former police officer had extra-marital relationship with the sister of the distributor of steroids that was investigated by police officers. David Busemeyer told his girlfriend and his brother that an investigation to bust the distributor of steroids started to be conducted. Although David Busemeyer didn’t mention the name of the informant, he presented enough information to understand who the informant was. Police officers raided the house of Busemeyer and found steroids and evidence of his usage of steroids.
