American youth feel that they have to cheat in order to succeed

American youth adore their sports stars. They have already many such idols from the days of the baseball players Babe Ruth and Shoeless Joe Jackson till the stars of nowadays: the football player Peyton Manning and the baseball player Derek Jeter. Youth observe and repeat their every move.
Isn’t it dangerous to idolize sports stars of nowadays? It can be risky. Today sports heroes earn millions of dollars due to intake of steroids. Although the NFL and the MLB fight against administration of banned preparations, the war seems to lack success. Intake of steroids like cancer destructs sports. However American youth are taught about dangerous negative symptoms of these medicines, the results are not satisfactory.
It is said that youth are suppressed to administrate steroids. They put efforts to meet the needed criteria of college admission; they adore current professional athletes. The all these aspects promote administrating steroids.
Of course, all parents desire their children to be successful. If children go info sports, their parents desire them to compete successfully and to continue to play professionally. Children realize that it is difficult to do it. Which are the results? The pressure influences greatly on American youth. Over 10 % of teenagers feel that they have to cheat in order to be successful. College admission levels have been reduced due to budget cuts. The Recovery Place proclaims that it may lead to the situation, when high school students will look for other methods to be able to stand out among crowds. Abuse of steroids can seem for teenagers to be the best alternative method.
American youth know that many professional sportspersons have succeeded differently. Some of them did it due to their talents and intensive trainings; others applied steroids and other related medicines. If American youth act like those who dope, which will be the results?
Prolonged administration of steroids may cause addiction to these medicines. Moreover, users of steroids may experience such unwanted symptoms, as liver diseases, cancer, high blood pressure, icterus, kidney dysfunctions and bad cholesterol. These negative effects are claimed to be serious; they may be life-threatening.
Of course, parents don’t desire to see their children ill. They want their children to reach goals because devotion to sports and intensive workouts. But it is difficult to do it because many others cheat, applying steroids. Now it is time to do everything to push out steroids. These products shouldn’t disturb to reach our goals.

The steroid era is not behind us yet

There is a topic which causes hot discussions. Especially baseball fans are excited, in case they hear about steroids and their impact on this sport. Thus, in case you want to cause hot debates, you only have to mention that several baseball stars win due to administration of steroids.
Various people have various points of view, when it comes to the theme about steroids. Sometimes it is difficult to understand why some individuals that are involved in baseball administrate steroids. Do they play baseball just for money? Are they so blinded by money and other awards that they do everything for these perspectives? Undoubtedly, the most respected baseball players are those that don’t use steroids and win due to natural talents. Those are worth of respect, honor and awards that are not lured to administrate forbidden medications for achievement of their goals.
It is believed that consumers of steroids shouldn’t be elected for the Hall of Fame. This aspect represents trying to escape from shame linked with the steroid era. You may observe efforts to leave all unpleasant aspects in past and to move further. But do these efforts to blame users of steroids mean that the steroid era is over? Actually, a wrong impression is created here. The steroid era is not behind us yet. Those who believe that condemnation of steroid users mean that baseball is drug-free are mistaken.
Everyone knows that many players of baseball have taken anabolic steroids and other related preparations. Moreover, nobody doubts that nowadays there are such baseball players that continue to administrate prohibited preparations. Many individuals debate whether a player with average skills may become great due to usage of forbidden drugs. Some persons claim that without proper talents steroids do not profit. Talents must present. Others do not agree with this statement. They confirm that steroids are able to enhance performance whatever talent an athlete has.
But the problem is that we condemn players who dope alone. But not only players should be blamed for the steroid era. Everyone knows what happens really during the steroid era.
It is unlikely that the steroid era is behind us. Baseball hasn’t yet past the dark clouds. Steroid use is still deeply in the soul of baseball. Decisive efforts should present to be sure that doping doesn’t affect baseball anymore.

Dominicans widely use steroids and other related drugs

The Major League Baseball tries to do everything to stop using steroids. It wants to nip doping in the bud. Then it will be capable to achieve the big show. One of the locations where the efforts of the MLB are applied and clearly seen is the Dominican Republic.
Those who live in the Dominican Republic desire to play professional baseball in the U. S. This is not only a dream. This desire becomes real. Thus, the whole family drives. Unfortunately, numerous persons are lured to take steroids and other related medicines to reach their goal.
The Dominican Republic is a country where a lot of persons take steroids and other preparations which enhance performance. That’s why an athlete from this location is asked whether he has used steroids or other related medications. Of course, this person confirms that he has never doped because tests are performed and anybody is afraid to be caught using any controlled substance.
The MLB subjects to tests athletes from the Dominican Republic. So, one year 13 persons out of 40 tested amateur sportspersons from this location tested positive. The MLB plans to tests Dominicans and to punish those that dope.
It is said that the number of Dominicans that are sent to the MLB is significantly higher than the number of players that are sent from all countries of the Latin America.
The MLB tries to push steroids out of baseball. Amateur players are educated about dangers for their health related to steroids. They are educated about unwanted reactions which can be provoked by steroids.
The financial position of the Dominican Republic is a significant problem in this situation. The average wage is about 8, 5000 dollars per year there. To receive a signing bonus of 180, 000 dollars is a true achievement for any athlete from this Republic. That’s why sportspersons from this location are especially inclined to dope for such perspectives. They want to obtain a contract for playing professional baseball in the MLB. They try to obtain it for well-being of their families and for improvement quality of life in future. Obtaining a contract means moving from a rented small house to a private home, from poverty to normal conditions of life, from travelling by bus to driving own car.
In fact, administration of steroids is not a problem only in the Dominican Republic. It is a trouble which corrupts the whole world. No one sportsperson may be sure whether he competes against an individual that has natural skills and talents or against an individual who takes steroids and other related preparations. That’s why it is necessary to nip usage of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs in the bud.
Youth must be taught about troubles related to doping not just in the Dominican Republic or just in the U. S. but everywhere.

Responsibilities of baseball players that dope

The Major League Baseball survived some troublesome periods of time. It experienced 2 situations that are considered to be two world wars for baseball: the 1919 Black Sox scandal and the betting of Pete Rose on baseball. Nowadays the MLB experiences steroid era. It is widely believed that it will be capable to survive this period as well. There was a case that had a significant influence on baseball too. It was the case against Barry Bonds.
Of course, Barry Bonds was not the only player of the MLB who applied performance-enhancing drugs. Moreover, he is not the last of them. Numerous baseball players have administrated banned preparations to promote performance. Many baseball players have obtained praise and millions of dollars due to intake of banned medicines.
The sums of money which can be obtained justify the dangers connected with administration of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. The baseball players who apply banned medications don’t care so scrupulously about their reputation, as they trouble about obtaining of money. Such persons are responsible for the influence which is spread upon fans that try to be similar to them and upon future generation that will have hot discussions about baseball and the steroid era.
Nobody doubts that any baseball player who uses steroids corrupts his honor. It is made only because of money. Such person trades own reputation only for obtaining money.
Nevertheless, it is believed that future of baseball is without steroid use. Numerous baseball players have talents and proper skills; they train hardly and dedicate themselves totally to this sport. They are honest people. They keep their reputation. Such players love baseball truly. They don’t care just about money. Such baseball players are motivated by true love to baseball.
In fact, the MLB prohibits steroids. But unluckily, there are individuals in every sport that take unfair advantage due to steroid use.
Our hope is light: we believe that the day comes, when we’ll see sportspersons who compete not because of administration of steroids and other related preparations but due to natural talents, skills and hard trainings.

Intake of steroids is widespread in sports

The topic connected with steroids appears everywhere. It is widely discussed by numerous persons. Every day many articles report about these medicines. You read news that report about persons that take steroids. You come across stories about those who are caught distributing steroids and sentenced to probation or jail. Although steroids are recommended for many people to cure them from some diseases, administration of these products for enhancement of performance is more widely spread. It seems that it destroy the whole world.
People are controlled by money. If they may get money due to distribution or intake of anabolic steroids, they do it. They are not stopped by the laws. They take and distribute these medications, in spite of the fact that they are considered to be illegal in certain countries. A lot of people break steroid laws because they may get money, distributing and/or using steroids.
No one doubts that you have read some articles about wrestlers that have administrated prohibited drugs for many years. Some of users died of sudden attacks, being young. But no one wants to acknowledge that fatal situations happen due to steroids. Many people deny connections between serious diseases and administration of steroids.
The Major League Baseball tries to escape from steroid era. We believe that the time comes, when baseball will be played without steroids and winners will be decided due to natural talent and skills of players but not due to drugs that have performance-enhancing effects.
It is impossible to be sure that you realize how wide spread intake of forbidden medicines is in professional and non-professional sports. Usage of steroids by competitive sportspeople is cheating. If sportspeople administrate drugs that enhance performance, they lie. They take unfair advantage during competitions.
Any user of steroids that goes info sports should determine whether he/she has talent to be involved in sports. If he/she can’t compete, he/she must have another job. Each person should do the job he/she really is able to do. So, if you can’t play football, you must choose another job.
There is a hope that administration of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs will be stopped in sports. It may be that it will be soon in the future. Who knows?

Who goes to jail for violation of steroid laws?

The laws which ban intake of anabolic steroids have appeared because of certain conditions. They turned out to be responses to widespread intake of steroids in competitive sports. Anti-Doping Agencies hoped that ban of steroids would keep professional sportspersons far from usage of illegal products. But criminalization of steroids influenced on intake of steroids by competitive sportspeople slightly.
The steroid laws commonly do not prosecute athletes who use illegal preparations. On the contrary, non-competitive athletes and recreational bodybuilders are usually targets of the steroid laws. They suffer due to results of breaking these laws.
This is not only one’s opinion. Real facts display it. Let think: who is sentenced to jail because of selling steroids? For example, Ashley Dewayne Rivers of Alabama was sentenced to 5 months in jail because he had sold about $2000 worth of steroids to a doctor. Actually, this person wasn’t the target of a steroid investigation. He only turned out to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The estranged wife of this doctor said to federal investigators that her husband was implicated in operations of black steroid market. Thus, the statement of this woman led to the situation, when the health care provider was investigated.
Actually, Ashley Rivers was a dealer of steroids for short time. This person provided these medicines to his friends of his gym. James Robinson, the defense attorney for Ashley Rivers, claimed that his client had recognized his guilty totally and taken the whole responsibility for his illegal operations. The attorney noticed that Rivers was a moral man. However he broke the steroid laws, he recognized the dangers and admitted to his guilty.
The attorney for Rivers Ashley asked the judge to sentence Rivers Ashley only to probation. Ashley Rivers cared about his wheelchair-bound wife, 2 adopted children and 3 children of his disabled brother. Moreover, this man gave about 40, 000 dollars for individuals that lost their homes because of tornadoes. It would be better, if Rivers Ashley were sentenced to probation. Rivers Ashley would continue his work for his family and other persons.
But Christopher Brinson, the Assistant U. S. Attorney, rejected the request of James Robinson. He claimed that this man committed a serious crime and he has to serve time in jail. However the judge was inclined to agree with the request of the defense attorney James Robinson at the beginning, finally he made the decision to agree with the Assistant U.S. Attorney and sentenced Rivers to 5 months in jail.
You may see that steroid laws don’t influence on professional sportspeople.

Jose Canseco claims that Cancun is his step towards the MLB

Jose Canseco is a Cuban-American former player of the Major League Baseball. He was banned for administration of steroids. This baseball player wrote a book “Juiced” in which he claimed that numerous players of the MLB took steroids.
Now Jose Canseco has been invited to play for the Tigres de Quintana Roo of Cancun. He has claimed about his desire to play in the MLB again. He has written on Twitter that Cancun is his following step towards the MLB.
This person has not played professional baseball since 2001 after he had played for the Chicago White Sox. Jose Canseco was probably blackballed by baseball due to his statements connected with steroids and described in the book “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big”. He has called himself the “godfather” of steroids in baseball and took credit for introducing these medications in baseball. This baseball player openly acknowledged in his book that he had administrated anabolic steroids and other medications which cause performance-enhancing effects. This player mentioned also names of other baseball players that took steroids. Such persons, as Mark McGwire, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriguez, and Jason Giambi were identified by Jose Canseco.
In spite of the fact that anabolic steroids can be purchased without any prescription at Mexican pharmacies, they are banned in MLB.
According to some reports, Jose Canseco will be tested for banned products by the Quintana Roo Tigers.
The former baseball player confirms that he has discontinued taking steroids several years ago. According to certain sources, since stopping using steroids it had been recommended testosterone replacement therapy for him to cure several troubles connected with low testosterone level.
The Cuban-American former baseball player said that he had had some side consequences due to intake of steroids. Thus, his health care provider had to recommend him a testosterone gel to relieve from low sex drive and depression.
While Jose Canseco put efforts to restore his natural production of testosterone, he got certain problems with laws. This former baseball player was detained for about 9 hours by the San Diego Immigration and Customs Enforcement after he had been caught possessing a vial of HCG at the international border. Jose Canseco’s house was raided by police officers but no any steroids were discovered.
However Jose Canseco will never escape from his steroid past, he put efforts to continue playing professional baseball.

Risks related to steroid use are compared with dangers from knuckles which are hidden inside gloves of a fighter

Several mixed martial artists have publicly admitted that they use anabolic steroids as a part of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) which has been prescribed by doctors. Keith Kizer, the executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), confirms that this aspect has created a perception among many people that steroid exemptions are given to allow MMA fighters to use the steroid testosterone.
During an interview with Ben Fowlkes of MMA Fighting Keith Kizer noted that several people believed that any fighter could receive exemptions for usage of testosterone. He noticed that he couldn’t say it about other states but he described the situation in Nevada. According to the executive director of the NSAC, it is 50/50 whether a request for steroid exemption will be approved.
TRT is a therapy which is required for adult males that have hypogonadism (reduced testosterone levels). If sportspeople correspond to the medical criteria, they may be allowed to take steroids.
The NSAC has strict requirements for fighter that want to obtain a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) for administration of steroids. A sportsperson must show the document which manifests that blood levels of testosterone are low. But if an athlete has low testosterone level, it is not enough to obtain a TUE. Treating doctors must name reasons and medical conditions. The details connected with testosterone replacement therapy must be identified by doctors as well. Every detail should display that certain sportsperson must use testosterone for medical purposes and administration of steroids will not give unfair advantage to the fighter.
Several top athletes of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) have used steroids for TRT. Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt, Dennis Hallman and Dan Henderson belong to the starts of the UFC who take steroids for clinical purposes.
Keith Kizer proclaims that ban of steroids makes MMA safer. He adds that if a fighter uses steroids, he/she takes unfair advantage as if it is used knuckles that are hidden inside gloves. Thus, this is not just cheating. This factor is linked with risks for life. If you say to a fighter that you can put knuckles in the gloves so, as no one will observe it, this athlete will ask you not to bother him. But it is strangely that such person takes steroids.
Undoubtedly, steroid use has possible dangers to enhance the harm which may be caused in MMA.

A father that wanted his son to become an Olympic athlete injected him with steroids

James Gahan injected his son Corey who is 13 years old with anabolic steroids. He wanted him to become an Olympic athlete.
Corey Gahan is an inline skating champion at the national level. This boy won the 2004 Inline Speed Skating Nationals. He also won the 2nd place at the 2005 National Indoor Speed Skating Championship.
The father of Corey pleaded guilty in possessing and injecting steroids to his little son. This person cooperated with a coach from Florida in order to provide his son with following preparations: testosterone, Deca Durabolin, HGH and HCG. This person was arrested in May, 2004. As a result of his illegal actions, he was sentenced to 6 years in jail.
Since he had already served his time in a prison, he was released. James Gahan began to claim that his attitude to steroids and other prohibited drugs had been changed wholly. James Gahan talked to high school athletes about risks connected with intake of steroids. It was a part of his community service to which this person had been sentenced by the court.
This individual noted nothing about influence of steroids on the life and health of his son. This person noted just about own experiences with these preparations. He added that if someone wanted to see unwanted consequences of anabolic steroids, he might display them because he used these preparations. This person mentioned that he used 45 pills daily and his insides had eroded.
In fact, James Gahan didn’t explain what he meant, confirming that his insides had eroded because of steroids. He didn’t say anything about his illness which required 45 pills daily!
James said about Corey that he had known everything they had done. But he added that since he was the father, he took the whole responsibility upon himself. But James Gahan concluded that it would be better for his son to acknowledge that he had cheated.
But Corey doesn’t want to communicate with his father that has supplied him with steroids. Earlier he has reported that his father has never been sorry for injecting him with steroids; he has been sorry because he has been caught doing it.

Colin Daynes was banned for intake of prohibited drugs

Colin Daynes, a Greco-Roman wrestler, wanted to represent Canada at the 2012 London Olympics. But his dreams will not be real. Administration of banned drugs caused this unpleasant case. Colin Daynes was caught using steroids, diuretics and a selective estrogen receptor modulator.
Earlier Colin Daynes won the 74 kg division at the Canadian Wrestling Qualification Trials.
The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports proclaimed that Colin Daynes had tested positive for such forbidden medications, as boldenone, drostanolone, furosemide and tamoxifen. Boldenone and drostanolone are anabolic steroids which are better known under their trade names: Equipose and Masteron. As for Tamoxifen, it is known as Nolvadex. This preparation is usually taken in stacks with some others in order to minimize fluid retention. Furosemide or Lasix belongs to the class of diuretics. Wrestlers use this preparation as well as other diuretics to lose body weight to correspond to requirements of certain weight categories.
Colin Daynes acknowledged that he had taken anabolic steroids and other banned products intentionally. He noticed that he had used these medicines to get recovery from a partially-torn bicep and an elbow injury. But he added that he hadn’t known that these drugs were prohibited by the WADA. Colin Daynes blamed his doctor for this case. He said that he had consulted a naturopathic doctor who recommended him taking these preparations. Colin Daynes noted that if he had known that the drugs were banned, he would not have competed.
Colin Daynes represented Canada at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. After he won the national trials in 2008 he was going to compete at the Beijing Olympics. But he didn’t participate in this Olympics because he couldn’t qualify internationally. Recently this person won the Canadian Wrestling Qualifying Trials in December, 2011, and had to secure his allowance for the 2012 London Olympics through the competition at the Pan American Wrestling Championship.
But due to usage of forbidden medications this wrestler has received 2-year ban. It means that this wrestler is not allowed to compete till December 2012, when his athletic career ends too.
Colin Daynes confirmed that he had represented the native country proudly. He concluded that people could judge him, if they wanted to do it after the successful career of 25 years and everything he had done.

Armstrong claimed that he was waiting to continue his usual life

The case against Lance Armstrong related to doping is announced to be closed. He remains to be considered a 7-time winner at Tour de France.
It is known that federal prosecutors tried to determine whether Lance Armstrong and his teammates have participated in a doping program. The investigation has lasted about 2 years.
Lance Armstrong denied that he has taken prohibited preparations. The charges against this cyclist threatened to his athletic career as well as to his Foundation of cancer research and support. The efforts to prove that this cyclist took steroids were in vain.
This cyclist claimed that he had heard that the US Attorney’s Office made a decision to close the investigation. He confirmed that it was a right decision. Armstrong claimed that he was waiting to continue his usual life, being a father, a competitor and an advocate in the fight against cancer.
Andre Birote, an attorney proclaimed during a press conference that the US Attorney’s Office closed the investigation connected with the case of Lance Armstrong. This attorney didn’t note about any reason of this decision. But he just said that certain previous similar investigations were also closed.
For example, the investigation connected with Barry Bonds was claimed to be less-than-successful. Prosecutors were not able to prove that this sportsperson had cheated about intake of steroids. As for the case connected with Roger Clemens, the trial was indicated for another time because the judge announced about previous mistrial.
Investigators believed that a doping program was organized by Armstrong’s team. They desired to define whether it was so as they thought. Authorities investigated whether Armstrong encouraged or induced doping.
In fact, prosecutors put efforts to find out whether Armstrong and his team violated federal conspiracy and fraud charges. While Barry Bonds testified before a federal grand jury and Clemens testified before Congress, Lance Armstrong wasn’t required to present before a grand jury. Barry Bonds and Clemens were charged with lying under oath.
Frank, a former teammate of Lance Armstrong, and her wife Betsy Andreu charged Armstrong with intake of controlled substance. They claimed that they were shocked by the decision to close the case. They added that such cases happened due to power of money.

A Wisconsin University specialist claim that steroids are not so harmful, as many persons believe

The professor of Wisconsin’s University Norm Fost claims about certain common misconceptions linked with anabolic steroids. However several specialists note about severe and even fatal unwanted consequences of anabolic steroids, the physician Fost denies these statements, claiming that they lack any scientific basis.
But statements of this expert are not so often quoted by media as statements about severe unwanted effects of steroids. So, the message of Norm Fost that steroids aren’t so harmful, as it is believed, is noticed once for every 500-time statement that steroids represent a real evil.
Moreover, editors usually mislead readers, writing the quotes of this physician incorrectly. For example, a headline of a radio talk sounds following: “UW-Madison doctor: steroids aren’t harmful at all”. The headline is wrong. It is misleading. Norm Fost has never clamed that steroids were not harmful at all. It is obvious that these drugs may lead to various negative results. Norm doesn’t deny probability of appearing side reactions. Actually, this doctor says some other things. This physician notices that potential risks of steroids are significantly exaggerated. This doctor denies the statement that steroids cause the rare type of brain cancer. According to certain sources, this led to the death of Lyle Alzado, a player of the NFL. Norm Fost confirms that there is no any link between the death of this player and steroids.
Alzado blamed his prolonged steroid abuse for the primary brain lymphoma which finally caused his death. Assertion of this player was the only evidence which indicated about the link between his usage of steroids and the brain cancer.
But a question appears here. Why did Lyle Alzado make public his steroid use, blaming anabolic steroids for his illness? Couldn’t you find this fact strange?
In fact, it was said that AIDS had suppressed his immune system and promoted destructing his body by the primary brain lymphoma.
A pathologist noticed that Alzado had had T-cell lymphoma that was linked with AIDS. According to Dr. Thomas DeLoughery, Alzado was afraid that the public would know that he died from AIDS because of the cancer.
Pathologists at OHSU reported that Lyle Alzado had had B-cell lymphoma which was not linked with HIV or AIDS.
The physician DeLoughery explained the situation. He noticed that T-cells of this person were inflamed but the malignant cells were B-cells.
While specialists disputed about AIDS and the type of cancer that Lyle Alzado had, nobody of them claimed about links between his brain lymphoma and administration of steroids.

Anna Watson could gain 50 pounds of muscles due to steroids to become a model

Anna Watson, an university cheerleader of Georgia, noted that she was pressured to administrate steroids to obtain a fitness modeling contract. Her modeling agent indicated her to administrate Anavar to get needed 50 pounds of muscles. This lady was tempted but finally she rejected this recommendation. Anna Watson confirmed that her body was “a temple” and she wouldn’t destroy it.
Anna Watson confirmed that she had been tempted by usage of steroids several times. The agent put efforts to present steroids as something good.
It was noticed that she would obtain a $75,000 per year fitness modeling contract, if she use steroids and get 50 pounds of muscles. This lady said that she told Elite Model Management representatives in Paris. Elite is one of the most prestigious modeling networks. Such super-models, as Adriana Lima, Cindy Crawfors and Gisele Bundchen belong to Elite.
But Anna Watson has chosen to be better a cheerleader at the University than to be involved in the glamorous world. In addition to this aspect, this lady refused to use steroids because this action wasn’t in harmony with her religious principles. this person noticed that she didn’t serve a modeling agent but God. This lady added that she had been created as a beautiful creation. This person made a conclusion that she would not violate her moral and religious principles just to take photos. Anna Watson made a decision not to affect her health.
Some questions appear, reading these affirmations. Somebody could ask whether Elite Model Management looks for models that have the same appearance like competitive female bodybuilders. Or may be Anna Watson just desire to draw public’s attention by taking advantage of negative attitude to steroids?
It is evident that if Anna Watson acquires 50 pounds of muscles, she will be capable to compete on national bodybuilding stage. But what is for contract of 75, 000 dollars per year? Sportspeople know that such sums of money are not got easily even in sports. But may such large sum of money be received from modeling agency? It is controversial.
Female bodybuilders compete greatly to get prize money. Females with muscular bodies are more likely to receive money from “schmoes” (males who have sexual fetish for muscular females) than from such prestigious modeling agencies, as Elite.

King Mo Lawal blames a dietary supplement for his positive for Masteron

King Mo Lawal acknowledged that he had used a dietary supplement which was tainted. As it turned out to be, that supplement contained 2 ingredients that were synthetic steroids. According to this person and his manager, intake of this product caused positive for Masteron.
This fighter noted during an interview for MMA Hour that he had purchased “S-Mass Lean Gainer” in a Max Muscle store in April, 2010. This product was manufactured by Steel Body Production.
But this is not the case, when steroid ingredients are not disclosed. Synonyms of forbidden products are listed on the label of this product. In fact, these steroids were the subjects of certain debates between anti-doping organizations and federal regulators since 2005. They are following: 2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol and 4-Chloro-17a-Methyl-a-andro4-ene3, 17b-diol. These drugs are better known under the names: Superdrol and Promagnon.
As for Superdrol, it goes by methyldrostanolone, methasteron and 2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol. So, methylated version of Masteron was determined in the urine sample of King Mo Lawal by a proper lab of the anti-doping agency.
Anabolic Resources, a pharmaceutical company, was the first that produced Superdrol as a dietary supplement. It was over 5 years ago. This company was charged with introducing of a new unapproved medicine. Later Anabolic Resources pleaded guilty and admitted that they had marketed a synthetic steroid as a dietary supplement. As a result, Anabolic Resources had to pay a fine of 500, 000 dollars.
As for Promagnon, it also initially appeared as a dietary supplement in 2005 by Peak Performance’ Labs. The government didn’t take any action against the company for manufacturing and selling this steroid. But this pharmaceutical company made a decision to stop manufacturing this supplement in 2006.
Although legal status of these two substances is controversial, a lot of companies have manufactured and sold them as dietary supplements during about 6 years. Of course, those who are involved in this industry know about the status of these substances but they continue to sell them.
Mike Kogan, the manager for King Mo Lawal, notices that the full responsibilities should be taken by the companies that market synthetic steroids as dietary supplements. This person adds that such companies misguide users intentionally.

Even admitted steroid users keep their MVP awards

However Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers faces a suspension for usage of anabolic steroids, he accepted his Most Valuable Player Award at the dinner of Baseball Writers Association. This athlete didn’t acknowledge to usage of prohibited drugs. This baseball player confirmed that he had turned to be a victim of a false positive. This American baseball player fights against the results that have been proclaimed.
However it has been lately discussed whether users of steroids may be voted for Baseball’s Hall of Fame, they do not forfeit their Most Valuable Player awards. Even admitted consumers of steroids don’t forfeit their MVP awards.
Jack O’Connell made it clear that Ryan Braun would be allowed to keep the MVP awards. Earlier other steroid users were allowed also to keep their MVP awards. For example, Ken Caminity kept his 1996 MVP award; Alex Rodriquez kept his 2003 MVP award. Both these athletes acknowledged that they had used steroids.
According to testosterone: epitestosterone (T: E) ratio, Ryan Braun had elevated level of testosterone in October 2011. The T: E ratio has manifested about exogenous type of testosterone. Actually, this test can’t display actual amount of used testosterone.
Another method of testing was used by the World Anti-Doping Agency accredited lab in Montreal to confirm the analysis of the T: E ratio testing. It was used carbon isotope ratio testing which confirmed about existence of exogenous testosterone.
Numerous sportswriters suggested that Ryan Braun should have left his MVP awards due to the positives for controlled substances. But this player made another decision. He decided to accept the awards and address with the speech about false charges with intake of steroids. He said that characters of people are revealed in such situations of adversary. This baseball player confirmed that he had a great respect to baseball. This player added that he made a lot for his career in this sport but he had done everything with respect and appreciation to baseball.
It was said that Braun had been one of the youngest players of the Major League Baseball that didn’t feel needs to use steroids to be capable to play. When this player found out about positive of Alex Rodriquez for steroids, he was too surprised. He mentioned that Alex Rodriquez should have been enough honest to say about usage of controlled medications.
Ryan Braun made a decision to fight against the results of his tests, claiming that unusual circumstances surrounded this situation. The baseball player said that he would display his innocence and false positives.

Jacques Anquetil said that drug testing deprived personal liberty

Intake of anabolic steroids and other drugs that increase performance is widespread among amateur as well as professional sportspeople. It isn’t surprisingly, if athletes test positive for banned medications. But there are some unusual situations, when an individual tests positive for many forbidden drugs. Here is a case.
The teenage amateur French cyclist Alexandre Dougnier tested positive for over 10 forbidden products, including more than 5 steroid metabolites. It was at a race in France in May, 2011. He has been sentenced to 3-year ban from competitions.
It was defined that this person had used such steroids, as Anavar, Dianabol and Winstrol. Other steroid metabolites which were discovered in his urine sample included 3-Hydroxystanozolol, 16b-Hydroxystanozolol, 4b-Hydroxystanozolol, Oxandrolone, epi-Oxandrolone, 6b-Hydroxymethandienone and 17-epi-Methandienone.
This cyclist was a member of the Parisian Athletic Club de Boulogne-Billancourt. Several individuals mention that this amateur cyclist might have been a follower of the club’s doper Jacques Anquetil. This person has been claimed to be a celebrated individual of cycling’s history. He was a member of the club de Boulogne-Billancourt in 1950s and 1960s. Jacques Anquetil was the first cyclist who had won the Tour de France 5 times. This person had got also 2 Olympic medals.
Jacques Anquetil took steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Furthermore, this cyclist defended doping during a TV debate with the French sports minister. He noted that it was impossible to endure cold, heat waves and rain in mountains during cycling without doping. Jacques Anquetil claimed that only a fool individual would endure this agony related to the extreme sport of cycling without doping. This well-known cyclist added that drug testing might deprive personal liberty. Jacques Anquetil concluded that everyone doped.
It is important to know steroids were not so widespread among cyclists in 1950s and 1960s. Administration of more dangerous amphetamines was more widespread during those years. As for usage of anabolic steroids, it has become more widespread during past two decades.
Let see which affirmations have been said about steroids, when other cyclists have been caught taking them. When the cyclist Floyd Landis was caught taking testosterone, it was argued by his legal team that neither anabolic steroids, nor other performance-enhancing drugs were capable to increase performance in cyclists. As for the distributor of steroids Joseph Papp, he didn’t agree with this affirmation. He noted that administration of steroids was widespread in elite cycling. According to his words, a person may administrate testosterone gels in a clever way without being detected by anti-doping programs: users of transdermal testosterone must take in consideration detection time.
Alexandre Dougnier wasn’t careful and didn’t put efforts to avoid detection. He probably didn’t suppose that cyclists would be tested for forbidden products at the race in Aubervilliers.

Different opinions of fighters about steroid use for TRT

Quinton Rampage Jackson and King Mo Lawal don’t like each other. They didn’t display their dislike to each other for certain years. During an interview Lawal told about their relationships, mentioning that he doesn’t like Rampage Jackson that also doesn’t like him.
That’s why it is not surprisingly at all that Rampage Jackson commented on the fact related to Lawal’s positive for drostanolone (Masterone).
Jackson noticed that it was quite obvious that King Mo Lawal had taken steroids. He noted that King Mo Lawal was not a true fighter. He used steroids to be able to compete.
Rampage Jackson said that there were fighters that were permitted to administrate steroids. He referred to those who had to use steroids for testosterone replacement therapy. This person said that it was an essential difference between needs. Fighters and other sportspersons are permitted to use steroids for TRT and not for increase of performance, according to Quinton Rampage Jackson.
This fighter says that there are sportspersons who experience several health troubles. They consult their health care providers who prescribe steroids. They use these drugs to be relieved from health problems and to stay competitive. But Ranpage Jackson adds that there are fighters that administrate steroids in order to increase their performance. It is quite sadly, according to this mixed martial artist.
Nonetheless, intake of steroids for hormone replacement therapy by sportspersons is a quite controversial issue.
Such fighters, as Dennis Hallman, Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt and Dan Henderson admitted that they had used steroids because of hypogonadism.
Thus, Rampage Jackson is a fighter who confirmed about permission to take steroids as a part of TRT by sportspersons. But there are other fighters that do not support this opinion. A lot of athletes have the same point of view as Michael Bisping has. They think that usage of steroids is just justified by clinical reasons. They believe that all fighters who take anabolic steroids, noting that they are on TRT, are cheaters.
Lawal says that he is not guilty, claiming that his manager has heard nothing about the steroid Masterone. Both Lawal and his manager confirm that they are really surprised by the results of the test.
Fans were waiting for a fight between Jackson Rampage and Lawal. There were some rumors that they would fight in February, 2012. But the dreams of fans were not justified. Lawal has to serve a suspension.

The war on Twitter between female fighters

Dana White, the president of the UFC, proclaimed about the end of the female featherweight division in Strikeforce. He noted that it was connected with positive of Christiane Cyborg Santos for Winstrol. Dana White noted that this factor would induce the ending of the whole division. Santos lost her title. That’s why Dana White came to the conclusion linked with the end of the division.
It is said that Dana White didn’t suggest which would be the response of certain persons to the Winstrol metabolites that had been found in Santos’ sample. He didn’t except that a significant war would begin on Twitter between famous female fighters.
Rowdy Ronda Rousey who is the top of female MMA featherweight and who has received the bronze medal in judo noted about her dislike to administration of anabolic steroids and her attitude to Cyborg Santos.
Rowdy Rousey made her feelings about this issue public. She expressed them during an interview with TapouT Radio. She pointed out that intake of steroids was caused by uncertainty of sportspeople in their skills, strength and abilities. This female fighter pointed out that the decision to take performance-enhancing drugs came from the thoughts that the individuals were not enough skilled to win in competitions. Rowdy Rousey claimed that usage of steroids and other related medications displayed psychological weakness of consumers. According to Rowdy Rousey, this weakness promotes cheating.
Rowdy Rousey mentioned about her attitude to the ban of Cyborg Santos during several interviews. This person talked to Mauro Ranallo during “The MMA Show” that she knew that Santos had used controlled drugs. Rowdy Rousey noted that she never had respect toward Santos. Rowdy Rousey concluded that she was glad to find out that Santos had been caught and suspended.
As for Cyborg Santos, she became indignant because of Rousey’s affirmations. She told her fans on Twitter that Rousey would be her next victim at the fight. The fight will probably be after successful serving of the ban by Santos. She thinks that she will be welcomed by Strikeforce.
Santos wrote following wordsto Rowdy Ronda Rousey: “Proxima victim…Ronda! No mercy!!” Santos posted a picture of Gina Carano after she defeated her at Strikeforce Female Championship. But she didn’t host the real photo. Instead of it, she used Photoshop to exaggerate the damages which were inflicted by her upon Gina Carano.
Rousey didn’t wait much time; she responded to the words and the picture at once. She had rough words for Cyborg Santos, blaming her for lying and for hosting the picture, using Photoshop.
Numerous people think that the war on Twitter between Rowdy Ronda Rousey and Christiane Cyborg Santos is more entertaining than some real fights. It is said that this war is the preparation for the fight between Rousey and Santos that will probably take place in 2013.
