Rampage Jackson confirms that testosterone replacement therapy has increased his muscle mass and improved his sexual life

The mixed martial artist and actor Quinton “Rampage” Jackson described effects of testosterone in the interview with Gary Alexander of “Fighters Only Magazine”. He talked about his decision to utilize testosterone, about its effects on increase of muscle size, weight of the body and his sexual life. He pronounced these words after his fail at UFC 144 in Japan.
Rampage Jackson was honestly talking about his decision to find a health care provider who could recommend him testosterone replacement therapy. He mentioned honestly because he believed that testosterone didn’t include in anabolic steroids. The UFC champion said that steroids were for muscles but testosterone was natural. So, he was mistaken, considering that testosterone is not an anabolic steroid.
Actually, use of testosterone replacement therapy in mixed martial arts is a controversial question. Testosterone is administered legally in case of hypogonadism (low testosterone production). Thus, mixed martial artists that suffer from this condition may receive a therapeutic use exemption which allows to apply the steroid testosterone legally.
But the problem which is widely discussed is whether the athlete that applies therapeutic dosage of testosterone can obtain unfair advantage during competitions.
The most of athletes who have obtained a therapeutic use exemption for application of testosterone for medical needs deny receiving any enhancement of performance because of testosterone replacement therapy.
As for Jackson, he acknowledged that testosterone replacement therapy had promoted enhancing his muscle mass, speeded his recovery from his injuries and had positive effect on his sexual life. The mixed martial artist noticed that he had experienced a knee injury. After he had taken 3 doses of testosterone, the knee was healed. He gained bodyweight and muscle mass. He stated that small quantities of the steroid testosterone had caused obvious changes in him. His sexuality was improved significantly; he began to feel as if he had been only 25.
Rampage Jackson demonized steroids for his impossibility to lose weight in order to compete in the 206lb weight class.
Jackson claims that he doesn’t break any rule. He administeres testosterone and thinks that it is legitimately.
He notices that he is happy that he uses testosterone.
